British Postcolonial Literature: guest lecture by Professor Yousef Abu Amrieh

Dear students,

based on the results of the MS Teams polls, the date and time of the guest lecture by Professor Yousef Abu Amrieh from the University of Jordan was set to Monday, November 27 from 13:30 to 14:15. The lecture will take place in room AP1P2.

The topic of the lecture will be British Postcolonial Literature. Before the lecture, please read the short story "My Son the Fanatic" by Hanif Kureishi, which is available in the Files section in MS Teams.

The lecture is compulsory as part of the History of British Literature 2 course for students from the Monday 13:30 group. However, all students from all study groups of History of British Literature 2 are invited to join. If you do join this lecture, you do not have to attend your regular seminar this Thursday (Nov. 23) or next Monday (Nov. 27).

However, for those of you who cannot join professor Amrieh's lecture due to schedule overlap, your regular seminar sessions (Thursday, Nov. 23. at 12:15 or 13:30, and Monday, Nov. 27 at 12:15) will take place according to schedule. The topic of these seminars will also be Postcolonial Literature, however the reading will be S. Rushdie's Midnight's Children, as per the syllabus.
