Due to the circumstances, we need to adjust to a fully individual study model. To be able to continue, I will need you to provide home assignments that will, after my evaluation, contribute to your final evaluation (50-50%)
The original evaluation criteria - Short Written Assignments (notes from readings) on a weekly basis plus Final Essay in W9, we need to change to the following:
Written Assignments
1. Feminism and Film folder contains my notes to the readings and additional info. In one of the parts of the text, you will find questions highlighted in yellow - please, provide your answers in a separate word document. Questions are related to the reading material, so to be able to find answers, read the Feminism and Film text. Send this assignment to interpretationoffilm@gmail.com by W7, 27 March 2020.
2. Auteurism, Deconstruction, and post-Structuralism folder also contains my notes with questions highlighted in yellow. Again, provide your answers in a separate document and send it to interpretationoffilm@gmail.com by W8, 3 April 2020.
Final Essay - One of the folders I shared with you is devoted to Essay requirements. Please, have a look at individual documents to get acquainted with what's expected of you. Also, follow the syllabus to learn the specifics (length - 2000words, films - assigned films as I have already announced unless you have a film of your own - do let me know if you're working on a different title. The argument should be related to some of the critical approaches discussed in individual topics. Try. Be creative and analytical. Think about how this or that argument from this or that reading reflects concepts, issues, narrative development in your film. Of course, again, if you struggle, do let me know, I'll do my best to help explain. The deadline for the final essay is W10 13 April 2020.
